FAQs

Q?

Can you repair a cracked or broken screen?

A.

Yes! We specialize in cracked and broken screens. In fact, it’s one of our most common repairs. In most cases, fixing a broken screen is relatively simple and can be turned around quickly. Please note that in some instance, repairs may take longer if parts have to be ordered or if there is more extensive internal damage. Bring in your phone or tablet and have one of our technicians take a look. In most cases, we can assess the extent of the damage on the spot.

Q?

I accidentally dropped my phone in water and now it doesn’t work properly. Is it ruined?

A.

Not necessarily! While it’s true that water and your mobile device don’t mix, in many cases the damage is not irreversible. Have a TechMedic technician examine your device to determine if it can be rescued. We’ve found that in many cases, a water-damaged phone, tablet or mobile device can be returned to working order (which saves you a ton of money in replacement costs).

Q?

My mobile device won’t hold a charge anymore. Is it time to replace it?

A.

Save your money! Devices becoming unable to hold a charge is a common problem, especially with devices that are more than a few years old. Thankfully, in many cases it’s a problem that can be fixed. There are several possible causes of problems like this, so it’s best to have a TechMedic expert look at your device to diagnose the problem. The fix will likely cost far less than a new device would!

Q?

What is the best way to protect my phone/tablet so I don’t break it again?

A.

A recent study by Apple indicated that most users will damage their phone within the first 10 weeks of owning it. No one is immune to damaged devices, either. Some 33% of all mobile device users will break or damage theirs at some point. How do you avoid this, and in turn avoid visits to TechMedic? Buy a good case! Trust us, saving a few bucks by skipping the case is not worth it. Spend the money now so you don’t have to spend even MORE later repairing a damaged device.

Q?

My computer died and now I can’t access my important documents/pictures! Is there any way they can be recovered?

A.

There is a good chance they can! A dead computer doesn’t necessarily mean your data is lost. In fact, in most cases important data like photos, tax documents, and other sensitive or irreplaceable files can be recovered from a computer even if that computer doesn’t work anymore. Whether it’s business or personal, if your computer stopped working and took your important data with it, ask the TechMedic team about our data recovery services. With the help of cutting edge recovery tools, in most (but not all) cases we’ll be able to retrieve your data for you.
